In the 6 am to 7 am EST hour D. Sharpe shared how Sharpelivin will be bringing awareness of the successes, dreams, needs and wants of all individuals with highlighting the additional needs community on NEWHD.
D. Sharpe shared how Imagine Dragons’ song Believer came to be as well as Giving Tuesday and the four advocates that were highlighted throughout the show.
In the 7 am to 8 am EST hour D. Sharpe read the poem “The Invitation” Oriah Mountain Dreamer with playing Bruce Springsteen’s Letter To You once he finished reading the poem. Talked about addiction and mental health and closed that segment out with Chris Cornell’s Patience. And ending the hour with the book he is reading at this moment which is “the untethered soul” by Michael A. Singer and closed out with Mother Love Bone’s Chloe Dancer.
In the 8 am to 9 am EST hour D. Sharpe talked about Judy Heumann and her Heumann Perspective show which she interviewed Gaelynn Lea. Closed that segment with The Rolling Stones Can’t You Hear Me Knocking. Judy is also a big part of the documentary Crip Camp which was talked about and closed that segment with Bob Dylan’s Blowin’ In the Wind. The end of the hour was about the film Heart & Sold Artists in Lockdown. The Sharpe family discovered that film thanks to one of the artists that is in the film, Max A. Peters. The hour was closed out with Phish’s cover of Pink Floyd’s Time.
In the 9 am to 10 am EST hour Treble J and D. Sharpe highlighted the painter Peter Rowe. Peter also collaborated with Treble J on his song of the day which was Imagine by John Lennon. They also talk about our nature art contest for children and adults with additional needs.
