I am a graduate of Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and hold a Master’s Degree in Expressive Therapies and Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in art therapy. I am a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist & Art Therapy Certified Supervisor (ATCB# 10-038) with the Art Therapy Credentials Board and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH#12643) and LMHC Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida. I am a member of the American Art Therapy Association, the Association for Play Therapy and formerly served as the Treasurer for the Florida Art Therapy Association. Recently, I contributed a chapter on Art Therapy to the text “Integrating Expressive Arts and Play Therapy: A Guidebook for Mental Health Practitioners and Educators,” and a chapter on Art Therapy Supervision to the text “Digital Art Therapy: Materials, Methods and Applications.” When possible, I enjoy presenting, teaching, and training on the topics of art therapy and mental health both locally and nationally. My work experience is highly varied and I have been fortunate to work in a myriad of therapeutic settings and programs providing therapy services to a wide range of individuals, which includes the following: community mental health; Pre-K through 12 therapeutic, alternative, and public education; complex medical; trauma focused; memory impairment; substance abuse; relationship difficulties; children & teens in crisis; family conflict; and with children and adults affected by autism spectrum disorders.
